on wrkobjlck - select opt 8 Work with Job Locks,
then F10 Display job Record Locks and verify no record locks.

The job that lock the file stuck in ADDPFM statement.  We have to end
the job to get the lock release.  The strange part is that when doing
WRKOBJLCK, it shown that the file is open with *SHRUPD for this job.

yes it does..for a moment..
Do you have something else locking the file at same time?
Have a customer with software constantly adding/removing members all day
- seems to work as long as no exclusive locking, or attempts to delete
file or rename.
When copying from one member to another, it adds new member first (brief
lock) and then does copy.

We have a process that will add member to a physical file during the
start up.  It runs without any problem for the past 4 years, except in
3
to 4 occasions where the add physical file command seems to lock up
the
entire file.  This lock up problem is causing any program that uses
this
file to failed.  Has anybody encounter this type of problem?  We are
on
V5r2.
