We do not use SNDDST to send out email.  And to trap any current usage 
that may be buried within a program we use a command override exit point 
to change all usage of SNDDST, for email purposes, to SNDEMAIL.  We also 
use the accounting code field in the user profile to store employee 
number.  We also store employee number in our Domino address book.  We use 
LEI (Lotus Enterprise Integrator) along with DSPUSRPRF to an output file 
to sync up email addresses with employee numbers. 

You can easily add a key to the output file created with DSPUSRPRF by 
simply adding this to the cl program that does the DSPUSRPRF:
ADDPFCST   FILE(ROUTINES/USERLIST) TYPE(*PRIKEY) KEY(UPUPRF)
