I'm using DSPJRN to create an outfile. The DSPJRN command looks like this: DSPJRN JRN(JOURNAL) FILE((FILE1)) RCVRNG(*CURCHAIN) OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILFMT(*TYPE5) OUTFILE(QTEMP/WRKJRN) ENTDTALEN(*CALC) The record length of the journaled file FILE1 is 1266. Why is the Entry-Specific data field JOESD in outfile WRKJRN created with length 1270? It appears that there are 4 blank characters at the end of this field for each 'UB', 'UP', and 'PT' entries for this adds/changes made to FILE1 in outfile WRKJRN. - Steve
