If your SNA link is a dedicated link (no TCP/IP on it), try:
1. migrate all known SNA functions
2. use "strcmntrc" to see what else is going on the link

Ok... i'll wait for next week on some serious suggestions! ;)
We KNOW we use it for Mimix between boxes, which is fairly easy to migrate,
and we KNOW we use it for manual programmer functions like moving objects
between boxes for deployment, and pass thru, and sending spooled files,
etc. We want to gauge the true impact of not configuring SNA
communications at all... so far i'm not sure how to do that in advance.
Any suggestions of people to track down at Common?

Vary off and rename all SNA controllers and see what blows up. :-\ Hey
it IS Late Friday.....

I know that SNA is integrated pretty tightly with many commands and
functions within OS/400 and that Enterprise Extender will facilitate
sending SNA traffic wrapped in TCP/IP for future usage, but has anyone on
the list taken the approach of avoiding the use of SNA oriented commands
altogether? If so, how did you identify all of your processes and
commands
that were dependent on SNA communications?
