You should be able to rename them from QShell, as long as you "quote" the
backslash with another backslash. From within QShell:

cd into the directory containing the files
mv \\8file5.doc file5.doc

Actually, you may not even need to quote it. I just tried creating and
renaming a file with one of your names, and it worked:
