Not sure what the current state of meta keywords is.  I know that years 
ago, back before Google dominated the search engine world, everyone put 
meta keywords in their HTML documents so that the search engines of the 
time (Altavista, WebCrawler, HotBot, Lycos, etc) would find their pages.

Then people started doing studies on which keywords were more frequently 
searched for so you knew what was most effective to put in your meta tags.

Then "web marketing firms" would sell software that automatically put 
the most popular keywords into your meta tags, even if they had nothing 
to do with your site.  This caused a lot of really bad search results to 
show up in the search engines.

Then, someone (might've been Google) declared that they were going to 
ignore meta keywords to provide more accurate results.   I have no idea 
if they still do that or not...

I know that part of Google's search criteria is based on the age of the 
page.  So an article from 1998 might not be in Google's index because 
it's so old.

This is all conjecture.  I don't know anything about how System iNetwork 
markets to search engines, etc.  I'm not involved with that part of 
things.  Maybe if Wayne Madden is paying attention to this thread, he 
can give a better answer...
