It depends on the controller in question, but the battery replacement is
usually a customer task.
If the customer has no technical personnel, let this be handled by the
same guys that do release upgrades, PTF installations, etc.
If you have ESA installed an working, IBM will call the contact
specified using WRKCNTINF and confirm the sending of the replacement
part or the CE dispatch - if the system does not have ESA, or is out of
maintenance, you will need to order an appropriate battery through a BP.

I am on a client's machine and I see a problem 'fix request' that says
among other things - CACHE BATT EXP 90 DAYS.
Any chance this request would cause a CE to come out and replace the
cache battery? This site has no technical gurus on site.
Or do I need to alert someone to have IBM maintenance scheduled?
