It can only disappear when inaccuracies such as "The hardware is essentially
the same" fade into the lie that it is.

That is like saying my first 8088 PC chip is "essentially" the same as the
Intel Core 2 Duo that is in my mac.

Just because we can run 30 year old code does not make the hardware
"essentially the same".
