Where do you get a $200 laser with networking and built-in PCL to work
with a host? Those low end lasers have had a lobotomy and rely on a
Windows PC to do all the work.

That's good news. The printer just needs to be able to do the MICR
stuff.

I believe they are Xerox printers.
Any Laser printer that supports PCL5 would be a possible
alternative, unless you have more specific requirements.
I have clients that have replaced Acom printers with $200 HP
Laser printers that work fine.

I have a client who is using what is labeled an ACOM 5812.
Anybody know who
OEM's them for ACOM?
Are there alternatives out there?
