Hello Diana,
Your email is dated June 29th, but it just arrived here in our offices
today, July 8th. Not sure why the delay.
The only way that I know of to implement what you are looking for in this
and your other email is to implement controls over the Telnet and FTP exit
points on your system. This means coding your own exit programs, a
daunting exercise if you've never done exit point programming before.
As an alternative, I might suggest and affordable alternative. Our
software, SafeNet/400, will do this for you and much more. If all you
are interested in is the IP address controls and the logging, then our
SafeNet/400 Lite product will do for you and carries a price of
$1,095.00. It is available for a free 30 day trial if you're interested
in bringing it in and seeing what it might do for you.
You can see information about SafeNet/400 Lite at the following web
   address:

A description of our more robust SafeNet/400 line is at this web address:

We have a firewall but I would like to add another layer of security to
our system (AS/400, iSeries, i5, System i, etc.). I would like to
specify a couple of IP ranges on the system and only allow connections
from those addresses. Any other IP address that attempts to connect to
the system would be denied. This would be at the interface level and
include all services since our system is not on the internet. All
     suggestions will be appreciated.
     Thanks.
