Paul, Rajan is a valid candidate. His business qualifications and his
contributions to COMMON meet the requirements of a COMMON Board
candidate. His ideas to improve COMMON are as good as any other
candidate. I know...I was there when he was interviewed. I voted for
him to be a candidate because I truly believe he would be an asset to
COMMON and its membership.

You can vote your choice IF you are a member of COMMON. However, if you
re-join just to vote and not to be a professional working to keep COMMON
alive and a viable organization for this community, then, shame on you,
Paul!

Subject: [Interlug] It's election time for COMMON again. He's
baaaaaaaaaaack.

Once again, COMMON's nominating committee has placed on the ballot the
name of somebody who gets paid to entice companies to outsource their IT
functions overseas. This practice continues to put Americans out of
work.

Didn't the committee get the message last year? Am I missing something
here?
To this simple guy, endorsing an outsourcer flies in the face of
COMMON's goal of educating programmers in this country. Yeah, I know
that there are COMMON groups in other parts of the world, but they are
separate entities.

I swore that I was done with COMMON after 25 years as a volunteer, but
I'm going to rejoin today so that I'll be able to cast my vote for Dan,
Bob, and Wayne.
