Content-type for the attachment shouldn't make a difference. That's mainly
for the body content. Attachments are a little different.

Are you sure the < and > shouldn't be there? I know with my software some
users have had troubles opening PDFs because of the version of PDF that is
created. For some reason they want a higher version than is listed, even if
all that's change is the version number in the PDF! (very wrong if you ask
me).

You're welcome to try out sending the file with my MAILTOOL utility to
debug.. free trials are available so go for it. :)

David,

I am sending him the attachment with SNDDST as a test
So I am not sure what the actual content type is.

Probably use something more up to date once I see that it
works to his phone.

The PDF file opens fine on my PC

We have a client that is receiving emails from their AS400
with PDF attached

The phone does not recognize the attachment as a PDF
because
somewhere along the line of getting the

email and attachment from the AS/400 to the PC the
attachment name is enclosed with < >

How are you generating the email?

Are you setting the content type on the attachment when it
is generated?
