It basically says that both the Temp and Perm of the FSP have
01SF225_096,
and that is also the code that is running. This is pretty got dated
code,
as we discussed in a previous email.
Then inside of LIC (of OS/400) you have PTF MF00678 loaded into
the
A side (you would see this with DSPPTF 5722-999 as Perm applied). Then
on
the B side you have PTF MH00948, and if we did a DSPPTF 5722-999 we
would
see this as Temp applied.
If you decide to upgrade to V5R4, you would have a problem, as
the
FSP would need to be at min level of 01SF235_160, and you are only at
01SF225_096.

Chris,
You can check from the HMC, but sometimes I think the best way
is to
do it from SST, and this way you can see that the FSP is HMC Managed,
and
not OS Managed.
Here are the steps I have from a user group presentation that I
do,
on how to upgrade your i5/OS. There is correlation and dependency
between
your HMC, FSP, and OS Release.
STRSST and sign in
Select option 1 - Start Service tool
Option 4 - Display/Alter/Dump
Option 1 - Display/Alter Storage
Option 2 - Licensed Internal Code Data
