With all due respect for the man who, this evening,  offered to host me
(replete with "adult beverages" to quote him) in Austin, in October on my
four-city speaking tour for COMMON, the front panel is merely an indication
of where you want to IPL from the next time.  DSPPTF is what I use.

Why can't you do it?

How do I tell if I am on the A side or the B side if I cannot do a DSPPTF?

Believe it or not I am on a conference call with 4 IBMers (ranging from
database to internals) and we can't figure it out.

LPAR.  V5R4.  HMC managed system.
