Jeff,
Many times, when searching for a solution, people tend to
forget that in business (as in life) things don't always
have an "either/or" solution. In the IT "fad world" of
today we have a tendency to run to the latest craze and
forget that there are a myriad of possible answers out
there with our "outdated" tools.

I love SQL as much as the guy next door, but at the same
time I recognize that (at least in our System i world)
traditional I/O can be a perfectly reasonable solution.
