Why give 'em a report? Give 'em a snapshot of the drives full of holes.

All this talk of shooting and smashing is fun & fine, but what report
will you give your auditor as evidence that the drive(s) in question
were destroyed?

I've been waiting for http://www.deadondemand.com/ to add SCSI support
to the digital shredder.

Hi all,

Some months ago there was a discussion on this list about the best
method to decommissioning system disks. There was even some comments
about using them for target practice, as an effective method of removing
disk data.

Well, Save your shells!! I apologize if this had appeared before but,
reading a Redbook about the new models, I ran across the PRPQ 5799-SD1
which, in IBM lingo, "sanitizes"
disk drives according to DoD standards..

You can get more info about this in Technote No. 454862776:

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Luis Rodriguez
