Interactive SQL, Output of a numeric column with a different editcode/ediword

Hello everyone,

One of our master files was created via DDS and it contains a numeric field
and this numeric field has been edited with an Edit Word opcode at the
DDS level when the file was created.


The DDS looks something like this:

*************** Beginning of data
*************************************
0016.00 A CUST 10S 0
0017.00 A TEXT('Customer')
0018.00 A COLHDG('Customer)
0019.00 A EDTWRD('0& - - ')
****************** End of data
****************************************

When I run the Interactive SQL statement like the following:

Select CUST from MasterFile

the Output looks something like this ... :

Customer
---------------
9 102-15-6151
9 102-15-8482
9 102-16-0306
9 102-13-4813
9 102-15-4804 .. etc

Is it possible to change the Output of that numeric column
in order to have a different editcde or edit word?



I could use the cast (data type conversion to change the data
from numeric to character/numeric/dec) .. but I do not know
how to further define and introduce an edit code or edit word
