Thanks again.  Good news that I don't have to bring down the partitions!

No real *fear* of the HMC, just a lack of familiarity.  Our company 
systems are a 270 and a small 520 with no HMC and I have 5 other 
customers that I regularly work with that don't have an HMC either.  I 
have one larger customer who does have an HMC but since I don't 
regularly need system access, I haven't really used it all that 
frequently.  We do, however, plan to get an HMC managed 525 when the 
lease is up on our 520, then I'll get a chance to get my hands dirty 
more often.

That is the great part about this list, there is always someone with 
some real world experience that can be tapped into.

I'll do some more homework and let you know how it goes.
