OK, I found that where to view these events on the HMC side is under
'Service Focal Point' and 'Manager Serviceable Events' (which shows events
for the managed systems AND the HMC, where the Service Action Log shows
just the managed system). The event was really a non-event and a known
issue that was caused by a temp credential failure in the HMC's weekly
phone home to IBM via IP.
Now i'm trying to figure out how to UNLIGHT the attention light... the tech
I talked with was unsure and sent the call to our local CE, who is also
unsure. Does anyone know how to unlight the trouble lamp on an HMC? I'm
sure they'll find out, but it would be nice to find out before they do!

Subject: HMC attention light
How do I tell what lit the system attention light on an HMC? I'm browsing
thru the console events log, but not seeing anything that jumps out...
