Joe,

 The motherboard is that big one in the back. It's quite difficult to 
lose it because nearly every freekin part in the entire machine needs to 
come out in order to get it out and it's connected with enough cables to 
secure a battleship to a pier. Are you sure it's not still in there? 
That would be one SERIOUS blast of air to just blow it plumb out of 
there!  :-)

 Honestly though if they've never heard of anyone blowing out the dust 
they must be 'rookies'. IBM Used to come over and do that for you 
periodically. They called it 'Preventative Maintenance' back then.  Me, 
I just set 'em on the workbench and crank up the air compressor (which 
is bolted inside my old S/34) and let the dust fly. But for a somewhat 
higher volume but 'gentler' blast of air I have also used my shop-vac in 
reverse mode. Less likely to splatter water onto things or blow heat 
sinks clean off the components. Oh, you do want to put your wife's car 
outside, far outside, before you cut loose with the dust cloud.  ;-)
