Here's what I am trying to do.
As a value changes in a column in a table on my System i, I want to
execute some SQL stmts (INSERT/UDPATE) in a DB2 database in Windows.
At first I thought I would use an SQL trigger but cannot figure out how to
access the Windows DB2 within my trigger. So, I thought that perhaps an
external trigger would better suit my purpose. In the external trigger I
would be able to CONNECT to the Windows DB2 and issue my SQL stmts (I
think).
Then, I thought I might use a stored procedure written on the Windows side
that would be called from by RPGLE inside my external trigger.
My head is hurting!!!
Can anyone provide any guidance on this quest? Thanks.
