Wow, Dave. I thought the tinyURL I posted pointed right to it. His
abstract says:
RPG's built-in support for calling Java methods makes it possible to
use JDBC database drivers from an RPG program. In previous
newsletters, I showed you how to run SQL statements on MySQL, IBM
DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle databases from your RPG
programs. In this article, I discuss some enhancements to my original
JDBC tool. This new version supports stored procedure calls,
commitment control, and meta-information about result sets.
So I think it is what you are looking for. The URL I got in my mailing was:
http://iseries.pentontech.com/t?ctl=65EDC:F65EB8B937280A299F840D9FF4443270
When I go to the article it is Article ID: 55530. And, again, it does
require registration but it should be free.

Jeff and Pete,
Didn't find Scotts article or talking directly to ORACLE from the i5 at the site you mentioned among the HUGE number of returns from search and I don't have time to keep searching. If anyone knows of a better, quicker to get his article, please let me know. Thanks for your time.
