Good idea. Rob.
Unfortunately we haven't turn on object auditing for it. Thanks...

Best Regards.

I spoke out of turn. I actually turned on object auditing for this
object. I could see journal entries for the schedule entry name. I could
see the job name/user/number that modified it. I couldn't decipher the
hex codes for held or release, but I'm sure a few more hold's and releases
and I could figure out the pattern.

The bear is that even if you set this up right I don't think you can
capture the detail you'll need. Like you may know that ROB modified the
job schedule object, but whether he added a new entry, held an existing
one, etc may be impossible. I don't think it would have near the
granularity of a physical file audit record.

Study infocenter for object auditing.

By scheduled job, did you mean
- SBMJOB SCDDATE(...) SCDTIME(...)
or
- WRKJOBSCDE.

If the former then I'd look at Chuck's suggestions. If the latter, then
I'd look at the audit records for QUSRSYS/QDFTJOBSCD.

Re: who held the scheduled job?

Any of these are options likely to suffice, for most cases:
- DSPJOBLOG of the /active/ job that is held [on jobq, may appear to
be the first msg versus the last; use F17=Top].
- WRKJOB OPTION(*SPLF) to review the QPJOBLOG of the job that had
been held but which is no longer active [on jobq or otherwise; if a
spooled joblog was a result].
- dspmsg *sysopr /* dsplog however, may be easier; see next */
- dsplog qhst ((*avail *begin)) msgid(CPC1162) output(*prtseclvl) --
use appropriate time period to limit the search.
