From: Joe Pluta

SELECT A.SEQ FROM MYFILE A
WHERE NOT EXISTS
(SELECT 1 FROM MYFILE B WHERE B.SEQ = (A.SEQ+1))

Hmmm. EXCEPTION JOIN works as well:

SELECT A.SEQ FROM MYFILE A EXCEPTION JOIN MYFILE B
ON A.SEQ = (B.SEQ - 1)

And as I continue on, another option occurs to me:

WITH T1 AS
(SELECT A.SEQ, MIN(B.SEQ) NEXT
FROM MYFILE A, MYFILE B
WHERE B.SEQ > A.SEQ GROUP BY A.SEQ)
SELECT * FROM T1 WHERE SEQ <> (NEXT - 1)
ORDER BY SEQ

So many ways, so little time...

Joe
