You can effect automatic journaling for objects in a library,
irrespective of SQL or otherwise, using the [ughh, I hate the
implementation!] data area named QDFTJRN. That feature really should
activated as an attribute of the library, and set on CRTLIB & CHGLIB
commands. Information on its use, should be searchable in the InfoCenter.
FWiW the QSQJRN naming is counter to the best practices for journal
usage, which would have every journal name unique across an ASP.
