There are several step to make this work. First off is to make sure the
DDM server is running. STRTCPSVR *DDM You can use IBM OPSNAV to check
the status and start it if necessary. Network/Server/TCPIP/DDM
You can configure the server from there as well as start the service.
Once that you have verified that is working, you then need to make sure
you have SNA running. This is required at least under V5R3 for DDM data
queues.

Subject: How to create a DDM Data Queue
Hello,
I have been trying to create a DDM data queue between 2 iSeries systems.
The data queues get created, but I get the following message when I try
to write to the remote data queue from the local machine.

get it to work. Both the local and remote machines are in the same room
and connected by TCPIP. Is there a way to get this to work using the IP
addresses? I have not setup any SNA communications before. When I use
the WRKRDBDIRE on both machines, they have entries that point to each
other
