Intermittent SQL04444 trouble using SQL-CLI

Hi all... 

I am using SQL CLI in an RPG program to execute a stored procedure that is 
in a service program.   My trouble is that I can process the stored 
procedure just fine but when I exit and call my program again I'll get the 
SQL0444.   When I exit and call again it processes normally.

Looked in the archives and found info about having everything ALLCAPS and 
that is taken care of.   We are on V5R4.

I don't want to get into program logic much since it works fine every 
other time I call the program.   It just makes no sense why it can run 
once just fine and not another.    If anyone has seen this scenario or has 
any ideas I would greatly appreciate some assistance. 

Side note:   The service program this procedure is in contains other 
procedures doing similar processing with CLI and they function normally.
