As the tide ebbs and flows we are consolidating multiple databases into 
one database.  Had our monthly "state of the company" meeting with the 
CEO, etc and everyone from the administration building this week.  CEO 
waxed on about how well the IT department is doing this merge and using 
our existing software.  He stated that many other companies would be
using 
this as an excuse to go to SAP or some such thing and pouring money down
the hole to do this.
I felt pretty good about that as him and most of the rest of top 
management have less than 2 years familiarity with our company.  (Don't 
you just love buy outs?)
