Probably because even with the override problem, I was able to complete 
the project (a simple update downloader, to be bundled in our products) 
in less time than it would have taken me to install, let alone learn, a 
new API.

By the way: is there a way, in an ILE CL program, to verify that a 
required parameter was passed? Of course this thing is going to have a 
*CMD front-end, but I'm thinking about the possibility that somebody 
might do something stupid, and try to call the CPP directly.
