Rob,

Short of rebooting, I'm not sure how the get the tool/taskbar back.
But to get at the running applications I think you could click on the
desktop with the middle mouse button and go into the 'icon' submenu.

but I'm not finding anything. Kinda hurting here. Got a minor pi$$ing
contest going on with IBM over support entitlement and 3 lpars running
RCLSTG and full system saves that I'd dearly love to be able to see the
screens.
