The Retrieve Referenced Objects (QP0LRRO) API might be of assistance to you.  The API will return information on the integrated file system objects that are currently referenced by a specific job, along with the number of references to the object. I have an application that is crashing with return code 3452 "Too many open 
files for this process". I suspect a file is being opened somewhere and not
closed, but tracing the offending code is proving difficult and I would like 
to be able to check the open file count at various points in processing.
