Ok, solved the problem. Had to use the following syntax.
Select EMUTIL.IDATE(a.TRNDT, '*CCYMD') as TransDate
From pmfliba.pchist a
Where MITNO = '1155501CXL'
The weird thing is I tried this yesterday on the users machine and I was
getting garbage back. Now it works fine.
The problem was it was using SQL syntax which meant it was not using the
library list to find the function so it was looking the default library.
I, also, just found that I could use the following OLE DB string and I
did not have to prefix the command. Trick is using EMUTIL as the default
collection.
Provider=IBMDASQL.DataSource.1;Data Source=erni;Default
Collection=EMUTIL;Convert Date Time To Char=FALSE;
Select iDate(a.TRNDT, '*CCYMD') as TransDate
From pmfliba.pchist a
Where MITNO = '1155501CXL'
Another one bites the dust.
