It's ironic, really. This list is a place for all types of System i related
words. And, there are people who spam the list who piss other people off.
The pissed people complain about the noise, then they respond to the noise,
and add more noise. Mike's message is just as much spam as Eric's.

I guess it is all about being heard and seeing your name in e-print. In the
end, if you cannot take some stirring, you should probably delete, rather
than comment and add more crap.

And Eric's messages are at least about marketing THIS platform...

BTW Chuck, it is no longer an i5, either! :-)
If I did choose "every negative or conflicting comment" as an excuse, that
would apply to almost every message posted, and Mike has already told me he
/gets it already/ about me pushing for a name that brings us together. I
guess all that ranting that Don has been doing makes it look like I am
posting all the time.

Come and see me at COMMON and get one of my iGeek buttons. Then you will
understand passion for the platform. Unless you are a dissenter...

Apparently Trevor is unaware of the spam-like nature of the postings
by Eric. If having made such postings was projecting a billboard-like
progression, for example as one drives down a highway, it was lost on
me... until just now contemplating the possibility.

The comment given by Mike was obviously [I thought that too, I just
did not post to articulate my thought] in response to the receipt of
three effectively identical non-technical messages within ~5 minutes,
that preceded the one being responded to, by only ~30 minutes. So the
comment that "/We get it/ already", seems apropos.

If Eric feels the need broadcast non-technical messages, there are
other forums to do so; they need not land on Midrange-L.

And... Please, not every negative or conflicting comment should be
used as an excuse to entice, to embroil a dissenter with an AS/400
versus i5 debate.
