The 3 and 5 were the original S/38 models. The 7 was added a year or so
later. Around mid life, the line was refreshed as 4,6,8. Models 20 and 40 were added on the top end. The final model refresh was something like 100/200 thru the 700.

The model 3 could have between 512Kb and 1.5Mb memory. It was a real
dog. The 5 maxed at 2Mb and the 7 at 4Mb. The 40/700 maxed out at 32Mb
memory.
