Don,

Here is the deal. The emperor's clothes (as opposed to his cloths) were
something he did not think they were. The little boy was the only one who
pointed it out. You, Don, are NOT that little boy.

There was another little boy, who told his parents that the big bad wolf
(IBM) was coming to eat them (and call them the wrong name). You, Don, are
that little boy.

First boy - positive, and willing to speak up.
Second boy - negative, and willing to shout about a fear he has.

Get a new fairy tale.

Mike,

I think you're right on the money..and you're reflecting the marketplace
fairly accurately...

I trust you remember the story about the Emperor's cloths...the one where
the Emperor paid A HUGE amount of money for what turned out to be nothing.
There are a few on this list that basically are the crowd which cheered on
the Emperor, telling him how GREAT his cloths were, how GREAT of a decision
he made to buy and wear them...shake their pom-poms and expound in
irrational exhuberances....

Then, there's a few that, like the little boy, look at the Emperor and
realize the truth that everyone else does but doesn't have the courage to
say, he's totally butt naked and really ugly walking down the street...and
have the courage to say so...

It's not that they dislike the emperor...they just prefer he accept the
realities of the situation...and respond accordingly... :)

REALITY - WHAT A CONCEPT! :)

...and with that, I turn to more relevant and important things... Jerry,
you can turn off your recorder now... :)
