DSPT and SNADS both use SNA. SNA can be encapsulated in TCP/IP using AnyNet.

I think the biggest advantage of TCP/IP services over SNA services is
that SNA is going away at some point, and being replaced by Enterprise
Extender.

Thanks for mentioning them. What advantages would there be in using
Telnet over passthru (DSPT)? I know DSPT uses SNADS, but SNADS works over
TCP/IP now, doesn't it?
