Are there any special issues with using a DSPF in a service program

I will be creating the program for V5R3.
I know that all I/O and file definitions are Globle in the module,
but is there a downside to including it in an existing service
program or should I create a separate service program?
If the new function is "related" to the existing functions then put
it in the same service program otherwise use a new one.
The display file will need to be USROPN so you can run in batch
without the compiler opening the file automatically (and thus
breaking every other function in the service program). You''l also
need to check, or at least catch the exception, for opening in batch
should someone attempt that.
You may need to experiment with RSTDSP settings to avoid peculiar
screen handling effects.

Simon Coulter.
