Hi Tim,

I just tried it on my box, using CPYF, and everything looks good.

But, could it be possible because of the error that pops up when you
browse the original member might have something to do with it?
"Duplicate or non-ascending sequence number. Records have been
resequenced."

We are at V4R5.

Thanx,

Nick

Subject
Copying FTP log to new member - unexpected results

I have a CL job that runs code similar to the following:

OVRDBF FILE(INPUT) TOFILE(TL70MOD/QCLSRC) MBR(FTPTXT)
OVRDBF FILE(OUTPUT) TOFILE(TL70MOD/QCLSRC) MBR(FTPLOG)

FTP RMTSYS(&IP)

I then use CPYF to copy the output log to a new member for achive
purposes.
What gets copied is very different from the original log. I'm sure many
of
you are using ftp like this. Has anyone ever tried coping the log?

Thanks, Tim
