I like the BRMS recovery documentation - grab these tapes, follow those
steps. I wouldn't restore a system without checking job logs.

I see you ignored the journal issue part of my restore comments,
however,
the manual tells you to do this in response to an error message. You
have to
check to find the message.
This is clearly a remedial action not a standard part of the restore.
