So does the AV software that runs on the iSeries protect the iSeries?
Nope, it protects Intel servers. I do not know of any virus definitions
for i5/OS? Does any of the AV software vendors have virus definitions
for Power PC chips running Unix/Linux/AIX? If someone knows of an AV
software vendor that scan for virus for i5/OS, please chime in.

And even though we do not allow much access to the IFS when auditors
come to the line in their script that says "Are you running anti-virus
software on ALL your servers?" It's a lot easier to just say yes than
try and explain why your iSeries does not need one. That is if the price
is reasonable.
