Just to let the whole community know, COMMON is preparing a statement
outlining Al's extensive contributions to this community. Out of respect
for the family that statement will not go out to the press until at
least Monday, and only then, if his family has no objection.
I was awakened very early this morning with the news and to say that I
was shocked is an understatement. Al was a mentor to me and I believe, a
key reason for my career success. I will miss him.
