As COMMON's staff liaison to speakers, I had many many conversations with
Al. Every single time I greeted him with "Hi Al, how are you?" he would
reply "short, bald and ugly, but at least I'm consistent," which always
made me laugh. I will miss those conversations. I will miss Al. Life at
COMMON will not be the same. My deepest sympathy to his wife and
children, whom he was so proud of.

Al Barsa
I've just been given the news that Al Barsa died last night. No
details yet - will pass those along as I hear them.
Al has been a friend for many years and a long-time contributor to
this list - we'll miss him.
