Traditionally the HMC uses a different lan port on your Power than the lan
port used by an lpar using i. This would leave your HMC console on one
"line" (not visible with WRKLIND), and your traditional TCP/IP on some
ethernet line. Yes they could both fail, like a bad switch or something.
But, you can only use defense in so many depths before you have to mount
an offensive.
