The manual (page 459) says:

Note: Concurrent repair is not available if slot C07 is empty or has a 2728
storage IOA installed in it.

According to the SST HSM, Slot C07 is empty.

Having changed out a drive once before on that box, and added drives, I kinda figured hot-swapping was too good to be true.
