CL Programs using files with unicode fields

We are in the process of changing character fields in the database to Unicode fields (Field type graphic, CCSID 1200).

 

The change of the RPG programs is nearly completed but we have problems with CL programs that access any of these files. (DCLF)

 

For each Unicode field in the file we get a message similar to the one below:

 

CPD085C 40  Graphic field not allowed for variable &VSADR1.        

 

Any ideas for a work-around?
