That is an option. However, I've done unload's/reloads that doing so
would have vexed me terribly. For example, I've downloaded all the V6R1
images, cumes, groups, etc into image catalogs. On to a V5R4M5 machine. I
did an unload/reload from my 270 to a different box. After doing some
basic performance monitoring on this new box I will then upgrade to V6R1
and repeat the performance test. If, after the unload/reload, I
discovered that I had to reorder all the image catalogs to do the upgrade
to V6R1 I would not be a happy camper.
