Security auditing is much better way to go.  You'll be able to pull out entries by IP address with a query.

I am looking to produce a report that would show who signs in from outside
on a daily basis,
Is this something I can get from checking the History log (DSPLOG) file or
is there a better or more efficient way to do this?
