Dave,

I do have a routine for that (it was in the same program). I'll send
it to you privately. You may need to tweak a few things, which I'll
explain when I send the source.

Francis,

Your routine was GREAT!! I have nearly completed the task, but the LAST FILE
to be converted is 90+% upper case. Now I looking to find if anyone has
created a routine to lower case names with smarts about "McDonald" type of
situations...

Any recommendations appreciated,

Dave

David,

I have a routine I used for a vendor that supplied names as one string
(but
our customer file had title, first name, initial, last name, and
suffix). It's not a subprocedure or anything, but you can get the drift of
it. Send me an e-mail off-list if you are interested.

I have just been tasked with taking Excel files that contain full names

Years ago I did a lot of this in Foxpro, but I haven't done that for
longer
than I can remember. So, I'm looking for something in RPG that could do
the
job.

Other than that, I might be able to mess with something in Basic <fear

Any recommendations appreciated - Thank you in advance.
