If for no other reason than
- the silly lack of spool file number in the data queue entry
- data queue's are not fed if the spool file is held
then I agree with the other about using the list spool files API's. If
you're a TAATOOL shop I'm sure you have a few examples. If not hit the
infocenter for "list spool files". Should be in Programming, APIs.
