Bill,

I would certainly like to see you make a new version available to the user
community. It is a great program for a quick way to make changes to a
file.

No, it does not have all the fancy stuff some of the other commercial
products have, but it does what I need it to do.

I would definitely be willing to pay for a supported version of WRKDBF
since it will still be much, much cheaper than the commercial
alternatives.

Thank you,

Wow. I saw the rather "excited" discussions of WRKDBF recently on
Midrange-L. Sorta felt like I was reading a religious/political debate.
A
couple of comments:

"Clunky and unstable"? Old fashioned, green-screen - yep, it is. And
there
is an old issue with rolling backward and forward after key positioning
that
I should spend some time on. But "unstable"? No way.

Some people dislike the confirm prompts. I'll accept that. They are
"unusual" for sure. I've been using a WRKDBF version V11 for several
years
now that makes them totally optional/user configurable at any rate.

WRKDBF will work with V6R1. Perhaps not the V10 version previously
available on the Internet, but the V11 version I use works fine on V6R1.
And I MIGHT make it available again if I sense there is a need to be
filled
out there. If I do choose to do so, it'll likely be "Supported" this
time
so it would not/could not be free as it used to be (though it would need
to
be very inexpensive).
